Small to medium meeting rooms often end up with mismatched hardware — a PTZ camera on one side, a separate speakerphone in the middle, and a pile of cables connecting them. The Yealink SmartVision 40 replaces that with a single 650mm bar that handles camera, microphone, and speaker in one unit, with all AI processing running on-device and setup reduced to USB connection and power.

The camera system uses two 48MP fixed lenses with a 120° DFOV, merging both lens feeds to produce a high-pixel-density panoramic image of the full room. Fixed dual-lens stitching means there’s no mechanical PTZ motor to reposition between speakers — the full room is always in frame, and the AI decides where to focus attention rather than where to physically point the camera. 4K output at 30fps with 6× digital zoom and up to 9 preset positions gives operators flexibility for different room configurations without mechanical adjustment.

AI features run entirely on-device: IntelliFocus detects and frames the active speaker from the full-room panoramic feed; Multi-Stream IntelliFrame uses multi-stream output to present individually framed participants to remote attendees simultaneously; Video Fence blocks defined areas from triggering false speaker switches; auto framing adjusts the composition as participants enter or leave; Image Super Resolution enhances clarity beyond the native sensor output; and picture-in-picture and multi-focus handle complex speaker arrangements. None of these features require cloud processing — tracking decisions happen locally with no latency introduced by external services.

Audio is handled by an 8-mic MEMS array with 6-metre voice pickup range, full-duplex operation, noise cancellation, and echo cancellation. Two 10W stereo speakers with 100Hz–20kHz frequency response and less than 1% THD at 94dB SPL deliver clear, even audio across the room. For rooms where the built-in pickup range needs extending, up to two expansion microphones can be added without replacing the unit.

Deployment is straightforward — a 2.5-metre USB cable and standard wall mount bracket are included in the box. Built-in Wi-Fi eliminates a network cable run for wireless deployments. The automatic lens cover closes physically when the device is not in use, providing verifiable privacy protection without relying on software-only camera mute.
