We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. This Returns & Refunds Policy outlines how returns, refunds, exchanges and warranty claims are handled by Kickstart Computers. This policy operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Change of Mind & Incorrect Purchases

Kickstart Computers may accept returns for change of mind or incorrect purchases at our discretion, subject to the following conditions:

  • Customers must notify us within 7 days of receiving the goods.
  • Items must be unopened, unused, unregistered and returned in their original packaging and resalable condition.
  • A minimum 20% restocking fee may apply.
  • Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.
  • Any supplier restocking fees may be deducted from the refund amount.
  • Any unrecoverable payment processing fees, including PayPal or other payment gateway fees, may be deducted from the refund amount.
  • If free shipping was provided, the actual shipping cost incurred by Kickstart Computers may be deducted from the refund amount.
  • Products that have been opened, installed, activated, configured, registered, licensed or used may not be eligible for return.
  • Returns must be approved by Kickstart Computers before goods are returned.

Change of mind returns are not available for special-order products, customised solutions, software licences, subscription products or items specifically sourced for a customer unless required by Australian Consumer Law.

Business customers are encouraged to verify compatibility, licensing requirements, installation requirements and product suitability before purchase. Kickstart Computers is happy to provide pre-sales advice to assist with product selection.

Special Orders & Non-Returnable Items

  • Special-order products sourced specifically for a customer.
  • Customised solutions or products configured to customer requirements.
  • Software licences, software subscriptions, activation keys and downloadable products.
  • Products identified as non-returnable at the time of purchase.

Unless required under Australian Consumer Law, these products are generally not eligible for return, exchange or refund.

Refunds

  • Shipping charges are non-refundable unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
  • If an item included free shipping, the actual shipping cost incurred by Kickstart Computers may be deducted from the refund amount.
  • For approved change-of-mind returns, any unrecoverable payment processing fees incurred by Kickstart Computers may be deducted from the refund amount.
  • Supplier restocking fees may be passed on where applicable.
  • Approved refunds are generally processed within 2โ€“5 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned goods.

Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Items

  • If you receive an incorrect item, please contact us before opening or using the product.
  • If goods arrive damaged in transit, take photographs of the packaging and product and contact us as soon as possible.
  • Where possible, damaged deliveries should be noted with the courier at the time of delivery.
  • Kickstart Computers will work with customers, suppliers and freight carriers to resolve transit damage claims promptly.

Warranty Claims

Many products sold by Kickstart Computers are covered by manufacturer warranties. Manufacturer warranties apply in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

If you believe a product is faulty, please contact us with details of the issue so we can assist with troubleshooting, repair, replacement or warranty processing where applicable.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
