A PTZ Camera That Runs the Room — Without Anyone Operating It
If you manage meeting rooms for a business, school, or organisation, the question you’re probably trying to answer is: how do we make every room work well for both the people in it and the people joining remotely — without needing a dedicated technician or camera operator every time?
The AVer VB342 Pro is built around that problem. It combines a proper PTZ camera — pan, tilt, zoom, motorised — with enough AI to make most of the camera decisions automatically. SmartFrame keeps all participants in frame as people move. Audio tracking follows whoever is speaking. Presentation tracking locks onto a presenter and follows them through the room. Smart Gallery crops individual faces into a gallery view so remote participants can actually see who’s talking rather than a wide shot of a conference table.
The audio side is equally considered. Ten beamforming microphones cover 8 metres — enough for a medium-sized room — with an audio fence that silences everything outside the defined meeting zone. Open-plan office, air conditioning, someone on a call next door: none of it gets through. Echo cancellation and noise suppression handle the rest.
What separates the VB342 Pro from a simpler video bar is the PTZ element. Most fixed video bars compromise on either wide-room coverage or close-up clarity. With 3× optical and 15× total zoom across a 92° field of view, this camera can cover a room broadly and then zoom in on a presenter or whiteboard when it matters — all without touching anything. Gesture control means even the manual overrides are touchless.
The wall-mount bracket ships in the box. It connects to your AV system via USB 3.1, HDMI out, RS-232, and dual RJ45 — so it integrates cleanly into a permanent room installation rather than requiring workarounds.
4K PTZ Optics — Sharp, Zoomed-In Detail Across the Whole Room
The VB342 Pro pairs a Sony 4K True WDR sensor with a 3× optical zoom lens that extends to 15× total zoom, covering a 92° field of view. True WDR up to 120dB means the image stays balanced whether someone is backlit by a window or sitting in a dim corner — the camera compensates automatically. Ten presets let you lock in the angles you use most so the room is always framed correctly from the moment the call starts.

SmartFrame and Audio Tracking — the Camera Manages Itself
SmartFrame automatically adjusts the field of view to keep all participants framed as people join, leave, or move around the room. Audio tracking layers on top — when someone speaks, the camera detects the voice and shifts focus to that person without anyone touching a control. For meetings where the presenter or facilitator moves frequently, this removes the need for a dedicated camera operator entirely.
Presentation Tracking — Follows the Presenter Wherever They Go
Presentation tracking combines audio tracking with preset area logic. Define where in the room presentations typically happen — in front of a screen, at a whiteboard, at a lectern — and the VB342 Pro locks onto the presenter’s voice and tracks them through those zones automatically. If they step outside a preset area the camera follows, reframes, and zooms to maintain the best possible shot without manual intervention.
Smart Gallery — Every Remote Participant Gets a Clear View
Smart Gallery uses AI face and body detection to crop individual participants into their own frames, displayed in a gallery layout for remote attendees. Choose between headshot and half-body mode depending on the meeting context. It means remote participants see clearly defined faces rather than a wide room shot where everyone is small — particularly useful in larger rooms where the camera is mounted some distance from participants.
Audio Fence and Beamforming — Clean Audio Without Touching the Mute Button

The VB342 Pro’s audio fence lets you define the sound zone around the camera — anything outside it is silenced, so open-plan office noise, HVAC, or adjacent rooms don’t bleed into the call. Inside that zone, a 10-element beamforming microphone array picks up voices up to 8 metres away with echo cancellation and noise suppression running continuously. The result is clear, natural audio for everyone on the call regardless of room acoustics.
Gesture Control — Adjust the Camera Without Touching Anything
Raise a hand to trigger gesture control and the VB342 Pro responds — zoom, pan, or switch presets without picking up a remote or walking to a controller. For rooms where hygiene or workflow efficiency matters, this keeps the meeting moving without interruption.
Built for Permanent Installation — Every Connection You Need
At 738 × 127 × 116 mm and 3.1 kg, the VB342 Pro is designed for wall or display mounting in a fixed room setup. The wall-mount bracket ships in the box. Connections include USB 3.1 Type-B to PC, HDMI out to display, dual RJ45 ports for Ethernet and audio expansion, RS-232 for AV control systems, and a 3.5mm phone/speaker port for hearing assistance integration.
